These are mainly Muslim Oromos. Many of whom traveled from Somali/land, Djibouti etc. Majority are from Hararge, not orthodox but rather Sunni Muslims. These people have already been in you lands temporarily, they don’t want to return. They are refugees escaping for better life.

The reason you see a huge number of Oromos coming to your land first off, is because these are Muslim Hararge Oromos. Putting politics aside, Somalis are the closest people we see to us, over others in the region. You don’t see western or other Oromos coming in, it’s mainly Hararge followed by the Arsi. They come to what they think is a brotherly nation or people. Not for long time stay, they eventually plan to move towards the Middle East. We are not the boogeyman you like to portray us as. They don’t see Ethiopia as home, Hararge is the least supported Oromo region so many end up leaving the country. They can’t work, they’re constantly arrested by the Oromia regional officers etc. They’re making their Hijra out of the mess Ethiopia is.

I hope to see the Oromo become more prominent in Ethiopia; an ethnic group consisting of 40 million people should not have to kowtow to anyone or leave their land.

These are only Ethiopian refugees Oromo/Amhara being removed from northern Yemen under the control of Houthis. Saudi wants these refugees out as a condition for peace talks. Majority of Somalis live in South Yemen and they are native to the region. I hope the nearby ports of Berbera, Djibouti and Bosaso refuse them entry if they try to dock. We are already facing an Oromo refugee crisis in many parts of the Somali peninsula.

No we welcome them and give them shelter, they will soon overrun us anyways

Oromos becoming more prominent would allow them to focus on massacring Somalis. It is better for there to be no single ethnic group holding all the cards in Ethiopia.

Yep. I don't like Amhara, but if they lose all their power then it's harder to keep Oromo in check. We already are dealing with Afar militias. Ethiopia is best when no one has the upper hand.
