Ethiopian President addresses the UN Assembly in Amharic. Respect!

She can speak two European languages (English and French) and has years of experience as Ambassador in many countries but choose to address the UN assembly in her own language like Haile Selassie. The only African country to do so.

Yet our cuck presidents or corrupt representatives are always addressing the podium in broken English or Arabic even Italian.

I've never seen them addressing in their mother tongue , perhaps these self hating sellouts considered their mother tongue insignificant.

We should learn one or two from the Ethiopians .

It’s a neat tidbit, but it doesn’t really mean anything.

The truth of it is, her message would’ve gone farther had she spoken English. There’s nothing to be done about the dominance of English. Guaranteed, people tuned out.

As long as her constituents (Ethiopians) fully understood what she conveyed to the rest of the world is what matters and counts. Japanese prime ministers are well educated and some of them are multilingual and you will never hear them giving a speech at the UN general assembly in a foreign language. Similar with the Chinese and most Arab leaders.

Don't worry, the world got the message anyway.

We have even more powerful women in power like this chief justice of the federal supreme court. She is the founding member of Ethiopian Women Lawyers Association and the founder of the first Ethiopian women private bank called Enat Bank (Mother Bank).

They have translators for each language and people can use headphones to receive real-time translation.
You tend to tune out translators. That’s the human reality. It’s rendered secondhand.

That’s why if you know the language most recognizable to your audience, you should speak it.
