Some 250 Ethiopian military personnel stationed around Addis Ababa went today directly to the PM office to protest.
Col. PM Abiy Ahmed listened to their request for more salary and better benefits but at the end of the meeting he told them that the way how they came directly to the PM office fully armed without getting orders is a violation of military code of conduct. Then he ordered them to do push-ups as a punishment. :)After that he promised them to address their grievances and invited them for dinner.

This man is a blessing for our country! Watch selfie session and the PM doing push-ups with the troops.

Upon hearing the news of soldiers protesting, we all feared for the worst. But thank God it ended peacefully.

Ethiopia can't afford to keep up it's it's police state.

Every single main highway is being policed by at least a 100 soldiers (road blocks every 50 km).

Those soldiers get paid so little that they end up making for the shortfall by robbing the cars going past them.

They could all be replaced by automation like other more developed police states (China, UK etc).

80% of the 200+ men are oromo.
