Ethiopian interlopers are already carrying Somali ID- the Solution? Tie it to the MAG system!!

You worry about a man from another clan becoming President? How about the fact that Ethiopians are already registered as 'Somalis' and will stand for office soon.

I visited Somalia last year and the year before and what I have noticed is a large increase in Oromo beggars and workers. What I find concerning is the fact that these people pretend to be Somalis, so we can safely assume they are already registered legally. We already know that Ethiopia and its allies are trying to engineer Somalia's population in their favour, and they cannot do that with Amhara. Instead they will do it with the one population that looks nearly indistinguishable from ethnic Somalis; the Oromo.

The simple solution to counter this threat, is to cancel all Somali passports and delete all the biometric data, as far too many foreign interlopers have already acquired our legal paperwork. The best system, is to get every clan elder, to name and approve the people who are mag payers, and also their female relatives. This way, no Oromo can get our passport, and we effectively lock them out of our country permanently. DNA testing is trickier as some Somalis have historically assimilated others, but I will not delve into that.

I urge all of you Somalis, to take this conversation to political circles and your clan elders, we must save Somalia before it's too late. Finally, there is a reason why there are people who are insistent on abolishing the Abtiris/Clan system, it's because it's the one thing that will save us from these hordes. Please don't fall for their trickery.

This Oromo paranoia is misplaced. Most who pass through Somalia/Somaliland are just in ''transit'' to reach the Gulf and get exploited by smugglers/traffickers. Others you claim ‘pretend to be Somali’ are just trying to assimilate, fit in, and live normal lives , not plotting some takeover.

If you actually care about stopping the youth migration crisis that underpin it, start with awareness campaigns about tahriib and the fake promises smugglers sell. That will help Somali youth as much as anyone else.

A few migrants outside of that genuinely come for better pay/oppurtunities and are decent, hardworking people. And the new Somali ID system exists precisely to validate nationals and block fraud, not enable it.

So instead of recycling the same xenophobic conspiracy takes, maybe put that energy into something productive. The paranoia isn’t helping anyone.

I occasionally log back in now to look at my own past posts, to recall something i said , the bad stench is most likely coming from your own posts. How many times are you going to spazz out in xenophobic paranoia over yemenis, oromos, or random other clan groups? And spin racial eugenics nonsense and insults? Last time i had to fact check you about how the Puntland government is not targeting anyone for their ethinicity/origin but are cracking down on people that do not have permits and are in the country illegally as a security counter measure against IS and it was done to cut off their recruitment channels and movements.


It's true what i have said. They have been registering people of all nationalities and giving them permits. So an Ethiopian or any foreigner don't need to go through the lane of getting an ID which is out of immediate reach for them and is meant for Somali nationals and diaspora who also have passports and other types of documentation/links etc.

The federal gov is already issuing work permits and e-visas precisely to regulate foreigners, not to hand them a free pass. If it was as bad as you claim, Somalia wouldn’t even be able to tax, monitor, or deport people , but all of that is happening

As for this idea that permits aren’t enforced , again, not true. Puntland and Mogadishu already have systems in place where foreigners need documentation to work legally, and the new ID rollout makes it harder, not easier, to fake Somali identity.

And no, immigration is not ‘erasing’ Somalia. Most Oromo you see are passing through on their way to the Gulf or hustling for small jobs , hardly some master plan to take over. The real issue isn’t them, to me it is cracking down on youth unemployment , which is being addressed with TVET and vocational programs so locals fill the skill gaps to meet market demand.

I’m not the only one calling it paranoia , even SL officials said people are exaggerating the Oromo migration issue on social media.

We literally discussed this in another thread a month ago: I shared even maps and reports that shows they are enticed by smugglers on route to the Gulf.
