That was like half a decade ago, saaxiib. Ancient history. Certainly doesn't inform on my impartiality toward Xabashis. That has more to do with my naive, now mostly abandoned, pan-Horn politics from since I was 16-17 years old (turning 27 in May) and also my knowledge about Horner history, linguistics and genetics basically making it clear to me we aren't as different from Ethios as we like to act.

I also grew up for a time with Xabashi housekeepers who were like familia and dear to my heart. I have no dislike for Xabashis, saaxiib. I would go to war with them tomorrow for Galbeed but otherwise no beef. Most Xabashis don't even dislike Somalis the way we dislike them and will be nice to you when they meet you and go out of their way to treat you nicer than other people as though you are countrymen.

Xabashis don't even mention or much less talk about Somalis to the same extant Somalis speak of them. To be fair Somalis offline don't either , we see eachother here and there and it's always pleasantries but on the internet there is some weird obsession growing.

And Somalis love conflating the common everyday civilian Ethiopian in general with their government even though they are being oppressed by same government and despise the political elite.

I do get that some animosity might be brewing due to what's happening in Galbeed.

They enjoy the raw meat. I don’t think we forced them into it. But it’s a legitimate grievance. How would you react if you ate cooked meat and all of a sudden some people forced you to eat raw meat?

If we are to be historically accurate, the Ethiopians were eating raw meat before the Adal wars and it's noted by historians as far back as the 13th century, maybe it grew in prevalence after or during the war. But Somalis didn't make them eat their meat raw or introduce it.

Miss Shimbiris is not a Xabash. I did have a thing for a Xabash girl in college, doe. Very beautiful young lady and we kept making that "I like you" type eye contact and had good chemistry but I had a lot going on back then and by the time I asked her out she was already in a committed relationship with a Xabash dude but told Shimbiris he was a great chap and seemed to imply she'd have said yes if I asked earlier.

I've actually noticed you guys grow to respectable heights when in the west or when otherwise more well-fed. And, honestly, you'd be surprised how many Somalis don't grow very tall in certain parts of Somalia where they're poorly nourished. You still encounter 5'11-6'+ types but the majority will sometimes be like 5'7-5'10. But Yemenis... average male height is like 5'2. Subxanallah, even with poor nutrition that's a death sentence.
