Oil is a capital intensive industry. They won’t be able to produce much oil without the necessary investments into pipelines and production wells

As far as we know the dds isn't getting it's fair share of the revenue from the extracted resources from it's region and on top of that it's being extracted on cost of the local somalis releasing toxin from the ground. If you think of it from a kilil perspective this is clear theft of the somalis and endangerment of the native somali populace. The revenues that should go to the dds is going to the other regions while the somali region is neglected. Add to that the neglect of dds durning the drought. This is yet another sign that the current ethiopian government is hostile to dds just like the previous administration but in a covert way.

Unfortunately the Ethiopian government is hostile to anyone that doesn’t align with its political party in current power and it’s just frustrating because East africa as a whole could be a lot more competent if the Ethiopian government could start treating its citizens like humans
