Ethiopia Folds Under Pressure

Common understanding meaning Ethiopia was about to get fucked up :pachah1:

For now they will behave.

Nothing in writing yet but Ethiopia recognizes they are not dealing with a failed state they got comfortable bullying Somalia.

The biggest loser here? Somalia. Somalia wasn’t included in this agreement and poses no threat to Ethiopia like Egypt or Sudan does. Thankfully this dam has nothing to do with Somaliland enjoy getting screwed over some more my dear Amisomali’s :samwelcome:

Somalia has nothing to do with this and Somaliland certainly doesn't have to do with any water politics in the Horn because no river goes through there at all, it's very dry.

This dam has nothing to do with Somaliland because SL has no rivers lol. A dammed river is better than no river any day, even you know that.

Are you guys retarded or do you not see the sentence where I said this dam has nothing to do with SL lol. And it has nothing to do with PL either as you have no rivers as well on top of being the driest place in the north behind Sool lol. This is really just for the south

That’s what I mean, I’m not kidding when I say SL would be in a much better position if it had rivers the size of Jubba and Shabelle. Even if they were dammed. Agriculture would be booming and so would tourism with all the lush green life.

If the south had stability it would be so OP. Right now the rivers still aren’t dammed and are doing well. This isn’t a competition bro, Im just saying being proud of not having rivers isn’t a good thing.

It’s not a SL problem because there are no rivers, I’d much rather have a river to fight over than to have peace because there is no river to worry about. You feel me?

I would rather have rivers just not ones controlled by Ethiopia. This is a huge L for Somalia and you know it. What good is a river if your historic enemy now controls its flow especially during droughts

you fools don’t know what’s going to happen

He said he already mentioned that. I'd rather have the Port of Berbera and the most onshore oil than a shitty polluted river AIDStopia is building a dam over.

That's because you both have a small capacity for thinking. If Somaliland was an actual country, it would never be self-sufficient whereas the south has 2 rivers to irrigate millions of hectares of land even with hydroelectric dams. Both rivers are very clean since no industry is built near them.

Listen man, read what I’m saying. Those rivers aren’t controlled by Ethiopians, yet...

But there is a chance that some day it will if we don’t get our act together. You were proud that you’d never have to worry about this problem. I’m saying, I’d much rather want a river that goes through all of Waqooyi Somalia, with the threat that some day Ethiopia will try and Dam it. Because at least with that there’s a chance of securing such a powerful natural resource.

I’d rather be in struggle for a river than be in peace without a river. That’s it.

With solar panels we could easily just desalinated ocean water while tribes in the south fight over their God-forsaken land. If you'd give up all of the above for a fucking river your enemy can guide as they like to control you for Berbera Port and oil you're the one with a limited capacity for thinking I'm afraid lmao.

Desalination is better, we can do it for a profit.

Btw there’s a river in Laascanood district. It’s just that it’s not a large river and it’s prone to drying during dry seasons.

You can not desalinate ocean water at an industrial scale with solar panels, there is no oil and Berbera port is small.

Are you kidding me? A third of the world's goods go through that port every year. It's also the site of where two continental plates meet, providing for an ideal environment for oil to collect. And at a good surface. It likely has more than the average country in the Gulf.
