The Somali emigration rate seems high. One thing we know is that assumptions informed by biased media can blow one side out of proportion to the amount it doesn't approximate reality. Future statistics might nudge us toward lower estimates.
If we, for the sake of argument, concede the out-migration to be higher than the international average, is it high when you factor in the conditions in some Somali-inhabited places? On a comparative basis, things might not be as dramatic.
