I would never cause a rift between siblings due to unequal distribution of wealth. Inheritance should be split equally among all offsprings.

Maybe the day somali women become independent, then we can split equally.

But so long as they rely on men for everything, then stick to half.

Lol who on earth relies on you guys for anything? If that was the case we would all starve:manny:

Also that doesn’t make any sense. What does independent or lack there off has to do with siblings dividing their parents wealth?

Men in Islam support their family and have to pay fot them plus pay for his wife while the wife keeps all her money so it seems fair a man gets double that of a woman

My grandfather fucked up by doing this he retardedly divided his big property in 4 the only thing left of all he left behind today is the quarter given to my old man:pachah1:
My old man even warn them not to sell it these shameless fucks didn't even wait 6 months after his death to start selling:pachah1:
The great part about this was 2010/2011 if they would've waited 2-3 years they wouldve capitalized on Mogadishu gold rush :cryinglaughsmiley:
Instead they sold there piece for chump change :cryinglaughsmiley:

Somali women dont live an independent life, they are rely on husbands and brothers on too many things.

When you do everything that men do then equal inheritance is possible.

When you can travel without a male guardian, when you fight in wars, when you dont shy away from public discourse, when you work the same hours as men, when you can carry a heavy load, when you work in construction, when you work as security guards, when you are able to lead and deal with different groups of people, when you receive no privilege over men.

Otherwise please dont waste our time abaayo. Carry your own load and be independent then you will receive what is yours.

i dont know about the women in your family sxb, but majority of somali women hold their own.

i still have no idea what any of that has to do with inheritance though.:childplease:

so cos i dont supposedly travel on my own or contribute to public discourse, that should affect how much of my parents wealth i'm entitled to??:camby:

Siyad Barre executed 11 wadaads who opposed the equal inheritance law. Mashallah. He was a great man. If we did that more often when extremists stepped out of line, we'd have universal peace and prosperity.

The Qur'anic verse about inheritance was meant only for a particular historical context that no longer applies. The Wahabbi kuffar who portray Islam as backward should be given the Siyad treatment.

May I ask, what is that historical context that means it no longer applies in todays world?

You're calling Muslims Kuffar because they believe no matter what day and age you're in you should affirm to all teachings of the Quran?
Are you a reformist?

The Najdi cult are the reformers. They fought the Ottoman caliphate on the side of Britain.

Some things in the Quran are time bound. For example it commands believers to prepare "steeds of war'" in times of jihad. That's a commandment like any other which must be done, but everybody understands that horses won't do you any good in modern warfare. The verse was addressed to a particular historical epoch. You're not sinning if you don't fight with horses today. The same is true for other verses. Context is key.

Pretty obvious I would have thought. Women were not the breadwinners at that time. They didn't enter the workforce in any numbers till the middle 20th century. They didn't have a family to support. Men did. So it made sense at the time. Since women joined the workforce, it doesn't any more.

Dameer maad tahey mise qof dameer iska digaayo? Get back to me when you fight wars on horseback or when you let your sister get married at six years old like Aisha did. Be consistent, or take your khawaarij ideology elsewhere.
