I remember my teacher who was quite old back in high school told me that he thought in the 1960's that the year 2000 would have flying cars and that humans would be a space race by now and then he tells me nothing hasn't really changed. Just internet, computer, phones and cars had some improvements and updates. I was really clueless what he meant by that and when I watch this video. I'm like wth.
Humans are fucking slow. Our technology isn't growing that fast.
Humans got to the moon in 1969 but what happen after all these years to 2018? No colony or major settlements outside of our atmosphere at least? All fucking exaggeration.

That's very possible. What were humans doing all this time for 49 years when we landed on the moon? By now we should in establishing colonies in Mars, Venus and the moon. We should have had multiple advancements by now if we really landed on the moon.
Forget establishing colonies on Mars. NASA says they went to the moon in 1969 but can’t go back to it because they don’t have the technology anymore.

1960s is just 70 years ago. Humans have been living for thousands of years.
More advancements occured during the last century than any other period humans lived. The problem is we take things for granted or we cant relate.
50% of the world lived in extreme poverty in 1980s. 35% of the world lived in extreme poverty in 1990. It's less than 10% today. It will soon reach zero during our age group's lifetime. That is thanks to medical and technological advancements.
