List of territories where the official government does not control the colonial and/or official borders:

In just eastern Africa there are rebels and or regional states that have complete independence: FGS/SomaliaItaaliana vs Shabaab/Puntland/Soomaliland/Jubaland, FDREP/Ethiopia vs Tigray/OLA, and South Sudan vs Machar/Nuer. Eritrean strongman Afeworqi wants to bring back central government sovereignty in Somaalia Italiana and Ethiopia.

Africa has TOO MANY countries, not too few. Africa should be made up of only 5 - 8 countries

Im not necessarily against that idea. The problem is it would be difficult to implement it by decolonized states dealing with secessionist/confederalists/insurgencies

@piracy brought up the idea of the 5 Somaaliweyn states making up 5 out of 15 Ethiopian kilils but that would be impossible now. FGS/MrCheese cannot unilaterally make that decision

Regional and continent wide unification can only happen once post colonial borders issues are resolved
