End of a bygone era as Somalia loses one of its supreme Generals

May Allah rest his soul Somalia's first Commander of its Police Force and Africa's youngest ever Police Comander died a few hours ago in Minneapolis, USA. He was a founding father of Puntland State and leader of the North Eastern region of Somalia (Gobolada Waqooyi-Bari) and head of the SSDF that was in charge of those regions after the civil war.

Imprionsoned by Mohamed Siyaad Barre for many years for speaking against the coup and ill tratmentnof the people. He was very gentle and rose to the rank of General atva young age and served asv Somalia's first ever Police Commander from 1960-69 when the civilian government was over thrown.
