Elon musk is killing twitter.

He didn't say the limit is on posting but reading posts.

But sister, to me, 600 posts would make someone stick around on that app for a whole day. I calculated it, 24 hours * 60 minutes/hours = 1440 minutes. Those are how many minutes we have in a given day.

I deduct 8 hours of sleep ( 8 hours * 60 minutes/hours = 480 minutes).

So 1440 minutes - 480 minutes would give us 960 minutes.

If, on average, it takes 30 seconds to read or post a tweet, we're talking about 960 minutes / 2 = 480 minutes = 8 hours.

That comes down to someone who is spending a whole day on Twitter would be making 480 posts. No time for work, showering, getting the kids from a school bus, gym, cutting the lawn, or spending time with the spouse. I gotta be honest sis, I can't do it, and I am 100% sure you won't do that in your busy schedule.

I completely agree that is an insane amount to tweet a day but it is the limit on reading posts. If each tweet you scroll past without even really reading counts in the cap of 600 for the entire day then it is ridiculous.

I also do not trust anything they do, it is an attempt to control the internet and information and he conveniently decides on this during France protests upon request from Macron.

They are obsessed with controlling information and what we hear about/learn.

People love freebie stuff. If an account is unverified, why would you post more than 600 posts in a given day? For goodness sake, if someone is doing all of that on a given day, then folks need to get a job. 600 posts on social media per day? When do such people earn a living?

Lastly, the guy is trying to collect those $45 billion USD that he paid for Twitter. So if people want to post more than 600 posts per day, pay for it. To me, it is simple logic.
post?, mate, read carefully, it is 600 read/view not post.

if you scrol for one minute and let your eye look at the tweets, that at least 10-50 post. That could be 12 min to view 600 tweet

Nope; you would click on the tweet, and that is how the view is counted. ''Let us get real though, Twitter has roughly 459 million users. If you're in IT and support systems that handle a user base like that, it is a nightmare. And think of it, the bulk of such users are not buying your services. But every login would be hitting their SSO (Single Sign On) systems, they would have to manage your session, see your preference in news and other tweets, and their algorithm would have to match your preference and send you the other type of similar news. This thing is not cheap.

Fyi, I don't pay the $8 for the blue tick. But at the same time, I can understand the logic of someone like Elon Musk who doesn't want to provide a free service for all. There should be limits on what I can do since I am not paying for their services.

Oh most people are used to their fat bellies being fed for free, and are now beginning to moan about this crazy idea of paying for services.
This guy is worse than Elizabeth Holmes.
Hers was one hell of a heist. Theranos was one of a kind, a brilliant case study of many turns, and one for the history annuls. How she managed to dupe the likes of W Buffet is beyond me granted Balwani is a scheming artist with a track record.

Backdrop:
While operating in โ€œstealth mode,โ€ Theranos pursued the development of proprietary technology that could run clinical tests using only tiny drops of blood instead of the vials of blood typically drawn from an arm vein for traditional analysis.

Theranos also worked to develop a method for drawing only a few drops of capillary blood from a patientโ€™s finger using a small lancet, and collecting and storing that blood in a proprietary device called the โ€œnanotainer.โ€ Theranosโ€™s stated goal was to produce a second proprietary device that could quickly and accurately analyze blood samples collected in nanotainers. Theranos referred to these devices using several terms, including โ€œTSPUโ€ (or โ€œTheranos Sample Processing Unitโ€), โ€œEdison,โ€ and โ€œminiLab.โ€
