Mogadishu (HOL) — EgyptAir will begin direct flights from Cairo to Mogadishu on July 11, enhancing connectivity and economic ties between Egypt and Somalia. The airline will operate twice-weekly flights to Somalia's capital, reflecting Egypt's broader strategy to improve African air connectivity.

You have some serious issues you need to address little man. If you have an issue with the president / gov, that’s your prerogative. But complaining about development ! You asked how this is going to benefit Somalia ? This should be self explanatory maybe use some common sense, but if you need me to help you understand I’m more then happy to do so. For starters, it’ll help facilitate movement of people and open the world up to Somalia, not to mention the positive economical impact it’ll have on the economy, amongst other things. Its basically a budget airline. They have some of the cheapest flights from the uk & europe to east africa. The bad reviews are because of the Cairo layover and how their immigration harass people especially africans

Man says "Major blow" like it matters when we are giving away a money that could be used by our gov. Why can't they lease planes and take the most profitable routes to Somalia? Dubai-Xamar, Nairobi-Xamar, London-Xamar, Istanbul-Xamar and Cairo-Xamar. Or at least encourage the private sector to get on them.

I honestly don't understand what's stopping us from having our own airlines. Partner with Turkish airlines if we need help.
