Eventually they’ll have to be efficient. Oil revenue won’t be able to cover for no taxes, government subsidies to their native population and there’s no guarantee tourism revenue will always exist like we saw with covid.

But I worry more for Egypt. This is a country where the average person lives a miserable life due to the collapsing economy and corruption. They should spend their money on education and social progress. As well as finding a way they can live without relying on the Nike like the whole country does. Climate change is going to hit them as the Nile dries up.
