I didn't say we should build a 7 million people mega city.
Can't we build 1-3 million nice organized city?
It will only take 500k people to pay 50k on average. Some may pay 27k, some 90k, 150k, some others 500k each of them will get homes, business properties worth their investments.

there are lots of planned neighborhoods like the green city in bosaso or darusalem in xamar or I forgot the name of the one in harguesa.

After I did some digging, I've found the majority of the investment for the city is coming from Egyptians themselves.
The government promised local investors different kinds of real estate assets, depending on their capital investment.
Like commercial, industrial, residential real estate assets, that they can later sell, use or rent when the project is finished.
The other important thing is they only outsourced to Chinese companies what they can't build themselves, like the skyscrapers, or complicated railway systems. Everything else is locally sourced, cement, steel, paints, electrical wires and almost all the construction workers and a good junk of the engineers, planners, architectures.

Why can't Somalis do the same?

The citizens invested their own money in the city to buy a property there.
I even know Somalis who bought Villas in the new city for a very cheap price.
Now these Villas are worth more than 0.5 million.
