Geeljire Abdi Warsame was unanimously voted to become CEO of Minneapolis Public Housing Agency last week

He said one of the reasons he was inspired to pursue this role was due to the deadly fire that killed 5 people in Cedar High late last year

“That was one of the key moments that made me more determined to go for the role,” he said, adding that sprinklers should be in public housing. “That tragedy should never happen again.”

Many Somalis living in GAAJO public housing should be expecting an upgrade very soon

The Minneapolis Public Housing Authority serves about 26,000 people. About one-third of the city’s public housing tenants are Somali

This means approximately 9000 Somalis (including Eedo @Basra) should expect the keys to a new 3-story villa very soon, courtesy of Mr. Warsame himself kkkk
