Most men cannot juggle multiple women. They do a poor job of understanding one. Most polygamous marriages are out of convenience/necessity/survival on the part of women.

Polygamy works better when there is a stark power imbalance. Meaning you're bringing more to the table. It is not an antidote for the rise in single women. A similarly educated woman who looks better and outearns has more relational power/capital and won't tolerate being second fiddle to anyone. She has the finances to leave. Your polygamous dream is just that. A fantasy that wouldn't be possible anywhere in the West.

In fact, in the Middle East, the more educated the woman, the less she's willing to accept polygamy.

Somali women now are getting degrees at high rates, and are arguably more college educated than Somali men. every Somali girl aged 18-23 that i know is in uni while of the Somali boys it’s probably a bit more than half. i don’t see any gen z Somali girls accepting being a second, third, fourth wife (myself included). why would they do that when they’ll probably outearn you anyways? there’s nothing holding them to you. also I’d rather stay single for the rest of my life or marry ajnabi than have to share my husband

It’s not enough. Those women tend to have their own side hustle and tend to accept having a lower quality of life for themselves and kids. The world is far too expensive. Imagine each house’s rent is literally at least $2500 to 3000k rent, that’s already 6K in housing for two wives. Add in groceries, add in bills, what about money for the wives in terms of their personal needs? Those women are not living a middle class lifestyle despite having a middle class man. They’re living a life in which they’re probably getting the very basic necessities and have to supliment their lifestyle through constant hagbaad, side hustles and the list goes on.

This is why some Somali men make sick.
They hardly focus on giving one family a good middle class life. Don’t care about saving for their kids college and the list goes on.They’ll rather their first wife scraps and scrimps just to get extra intimacy from another woman.
