I'm seriously dying at the idea that the dictionaries and books on these languages are just sitting there but I lack the training to properly study them. Look at the wild shit linguists start to notice when they really look, for example:

Exactly and not just linguistics i wanted comparative folkloristics done as well. Somali poetry is a goldmine for all sorts of folkloric and myths knowledge with preislamic roots. Stuff like the serpent with jewwel crown or that one folktale where fate takes the form of a snake. Could tell us so much about their worldview .

What's crazy is that all it takes is one person to look into it. I mean when I started looking into somali history online in 2017. There was basically 0 info. But fast foward 6 years later and look at how much there is and how widespread it is.
