I see this hasn't been discussed here before so I want to hear your thoughts.

The TMRCA of the Somali-specific clade of E-V32 lines up perfectly with Jebel Mokram related migrations from somewhere in the Eastern Desert (ceramics) into the Gash cultural horizon. Then there's the spread of the Ethiopian-Arabian art style that dates to this exact time period, the spread of pastoralism into the Horn of Africa proper too. But it's the linguistic evidence of specifically East Cushitic presence in Lower Nubia when proto-East-Cushitic was spoken (toponyms, names, loanwords), and East Cushitic presence in the Atbara as recent as the 4th century AD makes me really, really confident that we are the descendants of a particularly successful tribe that would've conquered some Gash-related group in Northern Ethiopia (Lake Tana). Would love, love, love to see an investigation into proto (Lowland) East Cushitic contact with proto-Agaw.

Timestamp? Very interested to hear what's said. I theorise Somalis and Oromos split in Lake Tana ~1000BC, them migrating south and us toward coast.

Horn of Africans get kicked out of Egypt in the Late period after losing to Hyksos/Assyrians.

Cushites hugged the Red Sea on the African side. They separated when they met the nilotics(big forehead, tall) around south suden/ northwest Ethiopia. The oromos hooked a right and went onto their modern day area at the lake tana and mixed with the omotics groups there.

The Somalis mixed with the nilothiccs while the Anfar didn’t and that more numerous and physically imposing group went onto the Somali peninsula while the unmixed Anfar stayed in the shitty hot triangle. Somalis absorbed the Boni/Aweer and settle down.

The other Cushites hugged the Arabian side of the Red Sea and mixed with Semitic groups before they came over and settled in Eritrea (Tigreys) and some went onto the mountains (Amhara/agaw). That’s why they had a high affinity( and admixture) with Yemenis and other Sabeans and even used their script Geez.

1600-1800 everybody started fucking (except Anfars and Somalis) while the Portuguese Blockade, Little ice age, and Oromo hordes on their Dhuul Raadi campaigns sent us into civilization collapse.

You're confusing several things, somalis never mixed with nilotes as a present day population merely our linguistic group "cushites" are a mixture of a dinka-related group and natufian-related group.

Both populations might I add did not exist during said time merely sharing common related ancestries hence why we used "related" they are mere proxies.

Cushites are their own thing that have existed for thousands of years at that point, other populations like europeans or berbers have a much more recent ethnogenisis compared to us.

Also where we weren't even in egypt during the late period nor where we fighting assyrians, we were as mentioned in nubia or surrounding regions.
