Dugsi Isnt Holding Anyone Back

The prophet scw:

The word of wisdom is the lost property of the believer. Wherever he finds it, he is most deserving of it.”

Instead wondering why we Muslims are not at the forefront of *all* knowledge (as we once were), or what has gone terribly wrong for us not to be so,

we look at the little effort we expend on the Deen of Allah and say ‘yeah...this deffo holding us back’?

Apparently 2 hrs we spend in dugsi begrudginly after 6 hrs of school is holding us back?
Where there are no standards, no curriculum, and are taught by pretty much anyone?

A lot of the fundamentals of these modern sciences were founded by Muslims who internalised the Hadith above and excelled in al the sciences (incl the deen).
Because at the end of the day, who has more of a right to knowledge than the one who acknowledges its Origin, the Lord of the Worlds?

“2.Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous –
3.Who taught by the pen –
5. Taught man that which he knew not.”

(There is hope for us as long as we know who are. But once we have become mentally colonised by the lowly cadaan man, we have conceded defeat.)
