Personal Notes: I'm here to prove Dr. Umar Johnson's Educational Achievements because there are many blacks and somalis who are envious of his achievements. The Black/African race is a sad community where anyone who claims to have academic success are not believed and are laughed at. Somalis are guilty of this themselves.

The unapologetically Pan African speaker and motivator Umar Johnson has received a lot of attention in the media as of late. Most recently, he appeared on Roland Martin’s “News One Now” show. During a panel discussion that was referred to as the “Dashiki vs. Ascot War” by media outlet The Root, Johnson was pressed repeatedly about his degrees.
"The Root took a step further with a withering article on Johnson, calling into question whether he actually holds a Ph.D. There were many peculiarities, according to Root writer Michael Harriot, that caused him to insinuate that Johnson did not hold a doctorate. However, it has now been confirmed that Johnson should be referred to as Dr. Umar Johnson; he holds a Doctor of Psychology degree from the Philadelphia College Of Osteopathic Medicine with a major course of study in clinical psychology."
When multiple media outlets went after Johnson recently because of his TV appearance, there seemed to be a concerted effort to attack his educational credentials. This includes VerySmartBrothas,who ran an article with the title, “Why Niggas with advanced degrees hate it when people lie about having them explain.”

In a word: Yes.
"The Root did as Johnson suggested to Martin and called Millersville University. We talked to the admissions office, which sent us to the registrar’s office, which told us that all verification of degrees, enrollment and credentials is handled by the National Student Clearinghouse—which contracts with many colleges and universities. The National Student Clearinghouse verified Johnson’s graduation from Millersville University, but because there has been speculation that the Umar Abdullah-Johnson in those records is a different guy, we searched the archives and found this picture of Johnson as a senior at Millersville University."

An Undergrad B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. (Bachelors of Science) in Psychology. He was apart of the Student Senate, Black Students Union, and was volunteering at Habitat for Humanity. He was also an avid sportsman. As far as his g.p.a and records go he was a model student who never gotten in trouble during his school yrs.
"We also found evidence that Johnson is certified as a school psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania."

^^ What that pic proves is that Umar Johnson after completing his two master degrees filled the requirements to become a high-schools psychologist and high school administrative principal.
Here the Root shows their obvious beef with Dr. Umar.
" It is impossible to prove a negative. Just as you can’t prove that I am not a Jedi and an X-Man who possesses the ability to fly, even if you’ve seen no evidence of it—I can’t prove Umar Johnson is not a doctor of psychology. However, The Root searched every level of Johnson’s education but could find no proof that he holds a doctorate in psychology. But what started off as simple educational research has turned into a mystery."
In the next they retracted and did a better jib searching and vindicated Dr. Umar Johnson.
"Most famously, I insinuated that he never earned a doctorate. I researched. I looked through the yearbooks of every school he ever attended. I went through the archived graduation programs. I watched videos of the graduation ceremonies. I paid my own money to verify his degrees. To be clear, instead of outright saying that he wasn’t a doctor, I said that I could find no evidence that Johnson had earned a graduate degree, but I knew what I was insinuating. I think I’m pretty good at this writing thing. I knew what people would think. I was wrong. It turns out that Umar Johnson is a doctor of psychology. The National Student Clearinghouse verified it for me late last night after researching his files."

So, Dr. Johnson needs to be acknowledged for the hard road it took for him to earn his doctorate.
