And do you see the result? Taliban can’t agree among themselves on allowing women going to school. Their a global pariah for investment and the economy has cratered with 97% of the country in absolute poverty.

I’d be an ‘Islamist’ if I could trust any of these people in running a country well and allowing everyone to study work and be free of persecution but unfortunately always the hardliners of these extreme groups take over even if the moderates are the ones you negotiate with.

Walaalo, I agree with many of your political takes but I must say that defeating Al Shabab militarily is impossible. Negotiating with them and power sharing is key. The leadership use the ideology as a smokescreen for power, remember when Danab exposed the marijuana farms in Kurtunwarey.

If Dialogue with Al Shabab was possible it would've happened a long time ago. Somalia dialogued with all Islamist group which lead to the incorporation of all but the most militant parts.

The man is anti-federalist which is good but he won't get great support.

Somalia right now needs a president that has been tried before like Sharif Sh. Axmed or Xasan Sh Maxamuud. Abdinur can become the next Hirshabelle president insh.
