This is what you call assimilation and integration Muslims, this is what the cadaans want from you and Salah knows this...
Ibn ’Umar (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“He who imitates any people (in their actions) is considered to be one of them.” Related by Abu Dawud and Ibn Hibban graded it as Sahih.
Bro Muslims have got to be honest, and realise why are they living in societies which they detest and reject so much? It's like we are outsiders looking in.
We're all in the West for better quality of life, financially and security wise but at the same time we are at a constant war with a society in which us and our children and descendents are a minority. Its like we are a part of the society, and yet not part of the society. The word I'm looking for is cognitive dissonance...
Cognitive dissonance is the discomfort a person feels when their behavior does not align with their values or beliefs. Cognitive dissonance is a psychological phenomenon that occurs when a person holds two contradictory beliefs at the same time.
No wonder a lot of Muslims who grew up in the west have an identity crisis. The deen and the parents tell them one thing, and when they go outside the wider society tells them something else...I'm just saying because whenever I see young Muslim's go astray in the west I don't judge them and see them instead as a product of their environment.
Anyways, all this doesn't apply to Salah, he grew up in Egypt and should know better but guess he's doing it for PR purposes.
