I get what you’re saying , the Christchurch attack was a horrifying reminder that it only takes one extremist to do massive harm, and nobody can fully predict or control that.


But at the same time, living in fear of hypothetical lone actors can’t be the framework for how an entire community moves or speaks. By that logic, any marginalized group should silence itself out of fear, which only ends up empowering the same extremists.


Security concerns are valid, but they have to be balanced with refusing to be intimidated. Minnesota’s political demographics do matter because they shape how local institutions, law enforcement, and the wider public respond to threats and that support structure matters a lot.

I get the point you’re trying to make about strategy, but asking her to stay silent just because she’s a Black Muslim woman reinforces the exact bias she’s up against.

If her opinions are unpopular, the issue isn’t her identity , it’s how the message is framed and who the audience is. Plenty of her white Democratic colleagues have said similar things and faced far less backlash.

Calling her “buuq” ignores the reality that she’s operating under way more scrutiny than anyone else. It’s not a lack of shrewdness , it’s that she’s being held to a completely different standard.

This is more about trying to gatekeep political office , to keep nonwhite Democrats out and push to deport immigrants. But they can’t actually do it, because the law protects Somalis.

So all they can really do is rage online, throw out conspiracies, and smear people, because they know they can’t remove them from the country. They call for her deportation knowing full well they have no legal path to make it happen.


Another reason I think this will blow over is that there’s a massive counter-movement building. You can already see major shifts , people are trying to elect socialists and progressives into office, and there are nationwide movements forming to challenge economic elites.



The average Cadaan actually really dislikes MAGA and the right. There have been nationwide anti-Trump protests against him and a lot of the people protesting are former supporters who’ve turned on him.

Good point. She is not unpopular at all. She is very popular. She has the backing of many democrats and her own constituency who keeps electing her.

I spend my time reading, researching, and writing , something I’d recommend you try too. It helps you form more balanced, coherent thoughts.

That’s also what this forum is for. Even here, I can tell the difference between online exaggerations, outrage and real life. The same script repeating over and over isn’t doomsday , you just need to relax a bit.
