It is because the main population of everyone in america is white and also all the people in power are white due to their connections over the history of the country. Also because of the racial politics so there is a tension between the white mans and the black mans so the black man being a descendant of the slaves and having disadvantage in terms of connections from the get go, he cant advance because the whiteman isnt giving him the opportunity
