Does Somalia have forests?

I wonder if anyone knows if there are any forests left in Somalia. When I last visited Galkacyo/Puntand in 2011 I honestly couldn't see a single plant anywhere in sight.

I was curious as to whether Somalia has a source of cheap timber.

Somaliland and Puntland have forests that are connected I have forgotten the name of the place, also have you been to sanaag? Theres lush green forests there.

There are forest in jubbada , middle shabelleh and lower shabelleh .

No it’s not protected alshabab burns down our forest for their lucrative charcoal businesses which they use kismayo port to transport and Kenyan soldiers that they work with
