Does EU financial support for Somaliland election imply recognition?

Did the MEP even check his briefing papers? The past two delays were agreed upon by the opposition (both Wadani & UCID), the NEC and was ratified by the guurti (Upper House).

In addition, the upcoming presidential elections will be funded by the SL govt since the EU & other partners ceased to cover the costs. The final $2 million payment was handed over to the National Electoral Commission (NEC) in late July.

Nevertheless, I absolutely agree SL should get the f*** on with the elections come November. No more delays!

Somaliland will have their elections whenever they choose. EU or Walanweynia can't do anything about it
