Does Anyone Use Robinhood?

I opened an account with them to play around with some extra money as a beginner’s experiment as a way to learn how to invest.

I transferred just $500 to start. Part of me wants to be lazy, and let it sit for the long term, but part of me wants to actively play around.

Does anyone else deal with the platform? Which stocks or ETFs have you had the highest payoffs or dividends with? Any insight would be cool. I’m a noob. I’ve only contributed to my 401k thus far.

So far I’ve bought one stock of AT&T after doing research, which I plan on buying more shares of.

I use iweb, you can open up a share ISA account. Which has a £20k limit. Any profits you make in the ISA are tax free

Most people cannot beat the market (S&P 500), especially not beginners.

Putting it into index funds is the safest option for beginners, but then again this current bull market is very old/overextended, so be careful.

Hey Abdalla, is the European stock market affected by Brexit, or are things looking ok for you?

I was thinking of buying s&p 500 ETF shares and letting it sit long-term.

Is that what you do, index funds?

Things are looking terrible, lots of fluctuations. Theressa May called once sick and it affected the market for the worse.

She pulled every stop before resigning, but everything she put up wasn’t brexit-y enough, and sure enough she got replaced by an even more far right politician, who looks like sketch comedy version of Donald Trump.

If a no-deal Brexit happens in October, short the GBP on 10x leverage. :dead:

But then again, the big boys will know what the plebs will do and then they will do the reverse. :cosbyhmm::wowsweat:

I use this program that’s highly effective, it will never fail you. You basically give 500 dollars a month to the elderly women in your family. They take that money and give you 12x more the amount. But like any program it has its pros and cons, the pros you expect you money each time without a cent missing, the downside is sometimes the aunties think they’re smart and ask you to pay for Qaran (family charity) whenever it’s your turn to get the money, this time you can’t say you don’t have money because they know you do have it. :bell:

:mjlol: this is a better method for cash

Index funds are the safe bet for investing. Just consistently put in money and dont take it out until retirement. Time in the market always beats timing the market. :yacadiim:

Honestly, hegbad is a good way to practice extreme saving. In a few years time, you could save an attractive lump sum to pay off a ton of debt, save for a down payment on real estate, or invest in into a small business venture. You should invest some of that money so it multiplies, sis.
