I really don’t like how both my forename and surname is basically Arab. It’s sad to have your name be something that you aren’t. Also to make it worse, Arabs hate us.
I’m thinking about changing my name to a Somali or western name because I want to avoid unnecessary discrimination and Islamophobia.
Since I’m born and currently living in the west and I’m bound to face things like this on a regular basis. It also doesn’t help that in the airport you are always going to get questioned and investigated because they think you are a terrorist.
