I found the foreign lyrics a little cringe to be honest. I looked it up on YouTube and the comments are full of ajnabis living for the song. Interesting but I don’t get it, there’s far better fully Somali songs in my opinion.

In 2018/19 there was a moment were compilation albums like this and Mogadisco were kinda semi viral in niche underground music circles. I want to go back to that time. I love current Somali music (like idiin ahaatay) but there’s just something about Somali music from the 60s & 70s that speaks to me like idk if you’ve ever seen that tt vid that’s like “vintage somali woman in xamar coded” or something like that but I'm obsessed with that entire vibe and these songs remind me of that. I have to find a way to get one of those culture pages to promote these kinda songs…
