I don't think that's the case. You probably grew up or interacted more with non Somalis from a young age. I have heard this from several people who weren’t exposed to many Somalis growing up.
Younger people who grow up in an area with many Somalis are more likely to date/ interact with the opposite sex during their teen/young adult years , maybe you haven’t experienced that.
Fr you should know better than this. Not finding your own counterpart attractive is an issue about you as your opposite sex from your community are a reflection of you and the women in your family such as mum.Your sounding like a xalimo. I hear this from them usually.
"I don't find Somali men attractive because they remind me of my brothers"
Just for talkingHonestly I feel like ceeb culture has ruined us, whenever I talk to an Abdi I feel like someone’s going to run and tell my hooyo and I’d get the beating of a lifetime![]()
I don't feel that, I had no problems talking to xalimos in school. I prefer them to ajnabi girls, they are more straightforward and we are both somali so we usually start on that common thing.Honestly I feel like ceeb culture has ruined us, whenever I talk to an Abdi I feel like someone’s going to run and tell my hooyo and I’d get the beating of a lifetime like I’m 17
From 12-19 your told not to talk to boys or else ur a sharmutto. Then after are expected to get married. Especially talking to a Somali guy unlike an ajnabi someone is more likely going to rat you out, even the guy your talking to will rat you out.![]()
Because your a man, you guys aren’t policed that much, that’s why some of y’all end up getting into trouble.I don't feel that, I had no problems talking to xalimos in school.
