And I mean for either baris and basto.

I think the diaspora has given up on this part of our culture. I intend to bring it back by eating my food with my hands, that includes cornflakes!

I’ll also be feeding my future husband from my hands in true Somali tradition.

Somehow he looks more attractive in Somali gear eating his, unseasoned, unbehilibed, unbeveggied, struggle basto.

Somalis and their righteousness will be the death of them, we humans invent a cleaner way to eat food. And the xolo who're righteous claim that’s how they used to eat back in the day. Horta you weren’t born in 500bc learn how to adapt before a 7th century bacteria wipes you out for eating with xaar on your fingers.

It depends on what kind of a food and where you are .
some require use of hands

Looool there’s clearly a story here. Unlike you my hands are clean and my nails are clipped. If I can cook with my hands why can’t I eat with them?

eating with your hands brings you closer to your food.

Nice! Tell me when you discover fire next

I bet you if Kylie Kardashian wore cleavage and ate baris from her hands you would automatically say it’s civilised behaviour. But because it’s a Somali tradition it’s all of a sudden primitive.

I remember asking for cutlery at a restaurant in a small tuulo in Somalia and they laughed at me. It was on a road trip between two big cities in the middle of nowhere.

If you squeeze the lemon on the food it will always be uneven. However if I squeeze it on my hand, you will always taste it with every mouth full.

I genuinely think I'm sexually attracted to the macwis:noneck:
Also lol @ making up words like 'unbehilibed' and 'unbeveggied'. I was thinking I was illiterate for not knowing both words

Horta how dare you assume I give a shit about some talentless hack who only exists on my TV. and second I'm a big fan of tradition, just not when it includes washing my hands 6 times a day

I only eat with my hands when i am at home. Its very satisfying. I am like a hungry savage.

In public & restaurant, i eat with folk and spoon & knife. I use table clothes, and smile without showing my teeth. Occasionally i might eat a huge chunk if no one is watching

To the angry Somali men on this thread. You sing along to songs about eating a woman’s ass and you’re here to judge me about following my daqan
