God bless the United States of America :)

I hope World War III happens between China and the United States.

If Europe cucks for America, I will work as a local spy for the Chinese.

Mad man Xi Jinping might kick it off by invading Taiwan. The Somaliland of China.

The opposite is the case.

Europeans are terrified of Africa's population boom and poverty leading Africans to come in Europe en masse. I have noticed that since about the mid-2010s it is always is brought up in national political debates, previously it rarely was. The EU wants Africa to develop.

The United States & Israel have some weird geopolitical incentives for a destabilized Africa, but the EU definitely doesn't.
Well Sankara died in the 80s so it was a different time. Anyway the EU doesn't have a common foreign policy even if they pretend they have one.
France still wants to hold west africa down to keep it's influence.
I'd say the west in general wants Africa to keep it's people in Africa to solve the migrant crisis but at the same time they don't want African countries to reach a level were they can threaten their interests.

Liberia GDP per capita $583.27 (Free of French influence)

Ivory Coast GDP per capita $2,325.72 (4 times greater, influenced by France)

Yes.

I said won’t let them succeed without French influence.

These economies are controlled by French companies and Lebanese people. Their government are puppets for France.

What happened to Sankara is what happens when you don’t listen.

I just don't understand why great African leaders refuse to bring together thousands of like-minded people into power centres; this would blunt the effectiveness of assassinations.

Thomas Sankara apparently didn't align with the Soviets -- a power that could have provided him with an effective security detail.

Despots like Mugabe know how to secure themselves.

do

The dude was way ahead of his time.

Accomplishments/ attempted accomplishments:

Food independence

No borrowing from the West

Battling deforestation

Women earning same amount in the work force. Husband sharing their warning with the children and wife. End of circumcision. End of unnecessary dowries

End to Officials blundering state resources. Sold all the fancy cars. Told officials to drive themselves to work. Dealt swiftly with any one caught with corruption.

Changed the country’s name to authentic African name instead of the European bestowed name.

Seized power at 33
Killed at 37
don't forget he helped to vaccinate over 2.5 million people just within his first week, planted millions of trees and helped to start literacy programs. Btw Burkina Faso means "land of upright men". Sankara changed the colonial name which was Upper Volta

His right hand partner was jealous. Jealousy is a disease walaahi. Watch for it before it destroys another life and eventually your own life :(
Oh absolutely!
Look at the video archives of Thomas Sankara, the traitor is always sitting or walking next to him.

Keep in mind that they came from the same childhood neighborhood. The traitor was destitute that he use to eat meals with the Sankaras.

This is like some Lucifer shit type of thing
the europeans know that there will always be a traitor who sits alongside the revolutionaries. they are power hungry and greedy. this is how europe plays off of greedy africans that lack compassion for their fellow countrymen/women

I read a lot about this man, it was a tragedy he died.
His biggest mistake was politically isolating himself from other countries, sure the Soviets and particularly Gaddaffi were threatened by him, but isolating the country wasn't the solution.
His other fault was not having any security, he wanted to live like the common man despite not being the common man.

If he were born earlier when Che Guevara was alive I think he'd have a more favorable outcome.
Burkina Faso could have been a shittier Cuba, the Soviets and communism in general was done by the 80s

The French are for some reason now more than willing to hand over their classified documents on Sankara's assassination. Feels like its some weird ploy and that they've scrubbed off all the incriminating evidence.
Wouldn't be surprised if the verdict of his assassination case was there was no French influence and it implies africans are just retards that can't govern themselves.
Liberia's president Taylor did say he helped kill Sankara, not sure if serious or its an ego boost though.
He was ahead of his time , the French had a role in his assassination.
Wether they erase their footprints , we all know they have an agenda to insinuate Africans are incapable of self governing. Endorsements of soft power AKA recolonisation through proxies and pretexts of democracy.

He should have forged allies. The outcome would have been different.

It's always the visionaries that die too early.

Look at Burkina Faso today , is light years behind from their fellow ECOWAS West African neighbour , I believe it is the same for former French colonies.

France would never allow an ex-colony succeed without them holding some sort of influence.

This is one such example.
Yet again the scholar dropped nuclear facts.

Yes I doubt that France would ever let go of their colonies , it generates revenue , by keeping them poor in the process they enrich themselves. We saw what happened to the visionaries who stood up against them.
The world blamed Haiti for being a shithole , despite centuries of France enslavement , after fighting for liberty they faced a dilemma, in exchange for freedom they were extorted and placed in debt ,
their natural resources were stripped , completely wiped out , leading to abject poverty
extorting them for centuries , these are the
consequences.
Yet we have people that blame their misery because of their skin colour.
Dominican Republic , is rich with minerals.

The fact that France collect taxes from their former colonies are outrageously absurd.

Evil racists.

Africans should ditch that language , and adopt an indigenous Lingua Franca , stop using Francs as currency.

Anyway the EU doesn't have a common foreign policy even if they pretend they have one.

They actually do, especially in the past few years.

Germany leads the EU, not France, and Merkel has clearly stated many times she is in favor of Africa developing to prevent future migrant crisis.

Europe hating and undermining Africa is so 1900s. Now the opposite is truly the case.

China is a heartless fake communist who are ruthless.

God continue to bless the USA

I honestly love this country.
It’s foreign policy irks me sometimes but it’s is changing. I am starting to understand it too.

They gave me refuge at a tender age. I never picked up a pen before. Taught me how to write and read. I went as far as getting my bachelors from the Ohio University. Afterwards I was allowed to earn a living. I was given a passport that I tracked to more than 17 countries. Heck I established roots here. All my children, official and unofficial, were born here.

Why wouldn’t I love it.

I believe France's political class still hold these views, you disagree.

Regardless, we can both disagree that will go out of the window if Le Pen wins in the upcoming elections.

They are a dying breed. Gen X and Millennial French people definitely don't hold those views.

Le Pen is an isolationist. She doesn't care about the French empire. Far-Right populists are for 'Fortress Europa', not for neocolonialism.

I seriously think what Orientalists say about contemporary Europe is extremely outdated and if anything it is mostly applicable to the US and not the EU.
