Do you think UK 🇬🇧 will join back the EU 🇪🇺

UK rejoining? All 27 EU members have to agree to that + the UK would have to accept the Euro and the Schengen rules.
Contrary to popular belief though, the UK remains a powerful nation on the world stage. It is the 6th largest economy in the world and is predicted to remain in the top 10 until at least 2075.

the UK is a nuclear state with VETO power at the UN and a major member of NATO. Yes leaving was not ideal from a trade perspective. However, what’s done is done now and people just have to move on. The UK will never regain its superpower empire status but it would defo retain its seat amongst the big countries on the world stage.

Aka be the btchs of France and Germany :mjlol:

UK had the best of both worlds and still found a way to f*ck up

tell me about it 🙃 what’s done is done though and the UK would just have to continue making its own trade deals and do what it can to promote economic growth.

True, you must be a long time listener of James O'Brien on LBC then.

How does one reconcile those two thoughts? There is a clinical term when one holds two conflicting thoughts at one, and chooses to take leave of sound reason. Oh well, Brexiteers are awfully illogical!
Sometimes the logical doesn’t make political sense. Politicians will choose power over what’s good for the country.

Currently there’s still enough support among the voters Labour need to win an election. Also despite a majority regretting Brexit, that does not mean they’re passionate about rejoining so Labour can get away with becoming a Brexit party for now

The whole Eurozone is basically in recession. They’ll be back to normal soon.

as for Britain, I see no hope for them. They isolated themselves from the biggest trading block in the world at their doorstep and they are politically and economically isolated from the rest of the world. If they rejoin the EU, France and Germany will make sure they adopt the euro and join the borderless Schengen area. UK will be cucked by the French and Germans kkkkkk
Germany is de-industrialising, it isn’t just a recession. They are suffering a sharp decline in car production which is their biggest export. Factories are relocating to America and Asia as energy and labour is much cheaper there.

Europe is going to decline further as they push for the net zero transition. Global South won’t and will grow. Manufacturing will move to the countries with cheapest cost of production, wages are much cheaper over there and they also have zero environmental regulations

And therein lies the rub, and as to reason I never ever listen to, or extend support to politicians, nor their die hard fan base.

Recent youGov survey: 57% of Britons said Brexit was wrong vs 32%, who still think it was correct. On a phone-in radio show, majority of callers, many of whom were Brexiteers, were in favour of reversing the decision, primarily due to adverse economic reasons.

It's possible in the future rejoining the EU becomes a Right Wing program. With the rise of the continental populist Right, the EU is likely to be transformed into an anti-woke conservative bloc over the next decade.

The liberal Left will fall out of love with European politics and become alienated from the direction the EU is taking. The Right meanwhile will become more attracted to them and will see the EU as the best vehicle for realising its goals. Supporting rejoining will become a Right-wing or even far Right cause while opposing this and supporting closer links with the US will be the Left. One reason is the direction European politics is taking, The liberal Left’s projection onto the EU of its values on issues such as immigration and national identity versus cosmopolitanism

Structural advantages Labour have include:
1. Don’t care if leftwing press calls them “fascist”, will just laugh in their faces
2. Public perception of them being “woke” will lead to an overcompensation in the other direction to prove they are not, so Keir will run on "Make Britain Great Again" railing against woke and the incompetent Tories. Could become like Meloni/AFD

Do you think if labour get into power next election they could eventually bring UK back into the EU?

If so, why should the EU entertain such politicians if the Tories come back in and remove the UK out of the EU once again. There has to be some sort of political stability in the country before any accession and also they won’t get the same opt outs as before.

Labour with Keir as the leader will never join EU. Heck, we'll see a Tory Lite type of Labour coming into power.

It's a case of bring me into No.10, no matter what. Green policy? Gone. Brexit? We will keep it, no change, nothing new to offer. Spending? No. Its basically Tories policies but with a red shirt. Might as well vote Tory in 2024/2025 and call it a day, makes no difference anyways.

EU won't take UK back in any time soon, and vice versa. We'll join just to get the same sentiment of leaving again, and nobody would want that.

If no, and considering the speed with which politics in Europe is advancing, United Ire will remain in the EU, quickly followed by Scotland thereafter. De Valera and Collins could not have wished for a better outcome. Let us see how long it takes Wales, the most disadvantaged of the islands post Brexit, to seek re-admission. No more UK to speak of.

Your having a laugh if you think we’ll even entertain open borders with gaajo Europe. No one in the UK wants a second wave of eastern euros they’re why we left the EU in the first place

The feeling is very much mutual 😂 Most Europeans are looking at the UK with disdain. Von der Leyen is making sure to isolate UK further from the bloc, until y'all beg to enter trade agreements under our conditions kkk.

Look at the L y'all took with the recent N. Ireland protocol deal, when the EU made sure that the UK bowed down on several demands, especially the EU maintaining jurisdiction on UK territory 🤣

Brussels' red line remains intact: Von der Leyen said the EU's top court would have the "final say" on EU laws applying in Northern Ireland.

Mida kale, how do you feel about all of the undocumented migrants crossing the English channel as of late? I've noticed that they've 'coincidentally' increased dramatically post-Brexit kkk. I support our French brethren in using the UK as a dumping site so they have less migrants to deal with within their borders 😅

The Brits were complaining about having to spend billions to accommodate migrants before Brexit. Guess what? After the Rwanda deal, it will end up costing more than previously kkk. I love me some British calcaacal, so I don't mind them going on daily tirades on the newspapers :cryinglaughsmiley:

Removing each individual to a third country, such as Rwanda, would cost £63,000 more than keeping them in the UK.
That figure is the difference between the total cost of removing an individual - estimated to be £169,000 - and the £106,000 spent on housing support if they remain in the UK.

Seeing how bad Brexit has been for Reer UK is there any possibility of UK joining back the EU?
Not any time in the future. Even the people who voted Brexit don't want it back, they just finally realized that the Government lied to them about it. They still hate the EU. It only took them 7 years to realize they were cheated though and they were lied to lmao. This is why you shouldn't let the uneducated and ignorant masses vote on such a complicated issue. Ironically, everything they didn't want is exactly what they are getting, like even more immigrants than ever before LOL.

Why do they hate the EU? EU gave them access to the largest single market in Europe that caters to 400m people and grew their GDP.... Nigel Farage and Jacob Rees-Mogg have bamboozled a whole nation lool
