With the way UK economy is grinding, and its influence is waning, most probably in 30 years, if possibly in 20, courtesy of Putin.
I see UK joining back within 10 years
, they went from shotcallers in the EU to the rule takers of Germany and France. They are not the empire they thought they were.

If the UK rejoined it will be a major downgrade.
UK got many perks and benefits other members didn't as one of the founders and if they rejoined they obviously wouldn't be able to get those back and would be regulars tagging along France and Germany.
Living in England it's not looking so good. Many of my smart kids I know who finished school with top grades are moving to America to study and settle.

True. UK has been punching above its weigh for far too long, and has been struggling to accept its status, stature, and relevance on the world stage, and in the EU. in good time, reality shall sink in, followed by acceptance into the Anglo Sexan fold. Both Furher & Bismark would have been so proud of the status quo.I see UK joining back within 10 years
Of course it will be a major downgrade. They had an opt out of adopting the euro thanks to Margaret Thatcher which enabled the UK to keep using the pound and to never adjust to the Euro.
They also had the opportunity to not be in the Schengen Zone which meant having its own border policy.
Those are all gone and if they were to return, they will have to adopt the Euro and accept Schengen. Which is a huge downgrade.

The UK fumbled hard. Niggas really thought in that CANZUK bs where they get all the anglo countries to crawl back to them and create some second British empire. Britain thought everyone would be jumping at them to get trade deals and all, Turns out no one gives a damn about them.
It won't happen for a generation at least. Brits have blamed the EU for everything in the last 30+ years, rightly and wrongly.
I agree the UK was better off in the EU, but it wouldn't make sense to rejoin. The EU is a great project, but the UK will be ok without it. The next gov will establish closer trade relations with the EU, which is the biggest issue currently. The UK will join important EU programs like horizon, so I don't think the UK will miss the EU that much in the long run.

They really thought CANZUK was going to happen. Australia will never let UK citizens live in Australia without a Visa especially with their huge population. New Zealand isnβt willing to do the same either.
Both NZ and Australia cucked the UK by signing free trade agreements, UK has nothing to offer any of those countries but NZ and Australia are top meat and dairy producers and British farmers will have no chance to compete against them.

It's a win-win. The EU needs the UK to join, because the UK has world-class scientific + research capabilities. UK universities are far superior to their EU rivals.
But lacag is king. Horizon is an excellent program, with huge funding. When the UK rejoins horizon, many of the best scientists in the EU will go to UK unis to study/teach, and carry out research. The UK will get a disproportionate amount of funding from it. I believe that was the case previously.
Do bear in mind UK had not joined till 1973, albeit EEC was formed in the Treaty of Rome in 1957. Only gains, if rejoined, in my view.
Think about this: In a recent study, UK would starve if France closes its border just for a week.
Not dissimilar to the 1926 sentiments in mainland Europe. They will get over it soon enough, and face harsh reality.

I canβt believe a nation would do such a thing to themselves and place themselves in an economic sanction.
there are 3 major trading blocks in the world.
1. USA
2. China
3. EU
UK was once the shot caller in the EU and whatever London did not want never passed through EU legislation and now they are the rule takers of the EU without having a say in it and being under the hegemony of France & Germany forever.

as for Britain, I see no hope for them. They isolated themselves from the biggest trading block in the world at their doorstep and they are politically and economically isolated from the rest of the world. If they rejoin the EU, France and Germany will make sure they adopt the euro and join the borderless Schengen area. UK will be cucked by the French and Germans kkkkkk

How does one reconcile those two thoughts? There is a clinical term when one holds two conflicting thoughts at one, and chooses to take leave of sound reason. Oh well, Brexiteers are awfully illogical!
