Preferably you wouldn’t listen to music but if you must, try music without lyrics. Classic, jazz etc (Somali Music is an exception of course)

Yes. It has targeted the black community. Conscious rap is very intelligent. Corporations and Label heads spend millions to have world class producers make beats that are so catchy, that the lyricism and skill of the rapper no longer matters.

Ex. Pierre Bourne and Playboi Carti. I fks with a lot of Carti songs. But if that nigga had shitty producers, he wouldn't have a career. The nigga can't rap to save his life or his momma's life.

Now before, certain gangster and drugged up rap was at least sophisticated. But now that labels know that brand, vibes and a good beat are all you need, they realized they don't have to invest as much anymore.
