Do you see yourself in a nursing home down the line?

It depends really you might die before you even get crippled old and senile to the point you can't take care of your self, but if i got to that age of course i would spend my last years in a nursing home, i wouldn't want to burden my self on my kids if get any that is
Not Cadaan thing anymore. My first year I saw Somali odeeys and Habo.
It’s not cheap too.

I'm going to have many children so I can build myself a strong nursing home staffed entirely by my descendants.

Never. Same as for my parents. They will go back to dhulka Hooyo and we are going to support them. I want this for myself as well when I grow old in shaa Allah. Nursing home, lord have mercy, that’s some cadaan ish.
I once visited a nursing home and there was a very old Somali woman. She was all alone and sick. No children or any other relatives who lived nearby and visited her. Wallaahi it broke my heart. How can someone just abandon their own flesh and blood... Hooyada who made you to the successful person you are today and you leave her just like a dog... la xawla wa la quwatta illaah billaah

My kids hate me. I used to beat them when they were little. I don't know why. I just liked beating them. It's the only thing in life which made me feel powerful. I was bullied at work by my boss, I was bullied at home by my ex-wife Fatuma who left me for a younger man at the dark of night, and I was bullied in the streets by madoows. I needed an outlet for my depression.
I see a lotta liberal Somali parents these days, but I grew up in 1970s Kismayo. We didn't hear about Oprah and Dr Phil in my tuulo. There was no therapy. So no way those kids are gonna look after their old man when I began to stoop. Toloow waa caasi.

I’m marrying some young xalimo back home who will take turns to look after me I’ll be damned if I spend my old age in this Godforsaken place where the elderly are treated like excrement
