My whole are hardcore nationalists for somalis but they absolutely despise mixing with Madows and cadaans. My family would rather bring home an Ethiopian woman than a black or white one because at least the children will look similar.

My hooyo’s side is Djiboutian and already mixed so they’re quite open. I have aunts and uncles married to Afar, (half) Malagasy, Singaporean Chinese, Brazilian and French people. Family reunions with them are like a UN meeting.

My aabo’s side not so much, everybody married same sub clan except for my aabo lol. It was quite scandalous when they married because my ayeeyo wanted him to marry his cousin.
