I put “no” but I would’ve chosen “it depends” if that was a choice. I still think hard work pays off, but some people have such a tough life that hard work isn’t enough. For example working hard wouldn’t be enough to improve a homeless person’s life, they’ll still need help from others. However there are people who don’t really have a tough life. For those people, working hard is enough for them. It all depends on your circumstances
