Do you give change to the beggars?

We have a huge number of parasites in our city. They are everywhere. I still throw a dollar or two to alleviate their suffering.

I buy food and hot drinks for them. The reason why? You're just feeding a drug addiction if you give them cash. There are beggars with homes and disability money who spend every dime on crack or heroin.

Don't talk so lowly about them. What if you were in that same position? A lot of them came from bad homes as children, have mental illnesses or simply made a mistake.

They're still people.

They are never grateful. I gave the guy 2 dollars and he asked for a cigarette. Not every youngin puffs.

You're killing them with kindness. Give them food instead. I will also get them rolling tobacco so they don't have to bum for cigs for at least a week.

Honestly my heartbreaks every time I see a homeless person, especially around this time when it’s freezing cold outside.

You can’t always tell if they are addicts. It’s best not to assume the worst of these unfortunate people and if in doubt talk to them and find out exactly what made end up where they are.
