Hear me outThroughout history and all societies the working classes (ie, farmers, merchants, shoe shiners, coal miners etc) were definitely looked down upon….. but never to the extent where ppl would be convinced that the work such individuals “do” isn’t worthy of yielding enough to support yourself/family. Work was WORK
now compare that to the modern western world where it’s a matter of debate whether people who work as grocery store clerks, janitors, etc deserve enough money to live
For example:
Am I the only one that finds the fact that this is almost exclusively a western rhetoric ironic… because the western world supposedly has the highest standards of living blablabla and yet mfs are really expected to work fulltime for nothing in return
atleast in a third world country you can set up a shack and live off the land that’s basically illegal in the west tho and it’s cold here to make it worst… anyways does anyone get what im trying to say???
