I'm not a simp for any European countries. Italians deffo are bad by the simple fact they were colonisers.
However they did at least try give some benefit to us by attempting to secure Ogaden and incorporate it into somalia, something they pushed for even in the 50s & 60s until Eritrea and Ogaden were handed to Ethiopia by the Anglos.
And the first point is also true, contrary to what many think, Ethiopians did not fight Italy alone and won somehow even though Italy was an industrialjsing empire and Ethiopia was a decentralised feudal state. It was because the Ethiopian monarchy used their Christianity, specifically orthodoxy to simp for the Russians and gain russian weaponry and support which were vital to beating the italians. Ethiopia could not fight Italy without guns produced and sold to them by other Europeans.
Also it seems the British let Ethiopia stay as it is however the anglos blocked and basically stunded Ethiopia's modernization as they were able to keep it away from the coast and trade with the outside world the mountain dwellers desired so much and finally got after ww2 only to lose it due to their stupidity.
Ethiopia was useful for the anglos especially but it wasn't given the opportunity to modernise since that's not what the anglos wanted them for. A half assed Ethiopia that could prevent Italian power from growing is all the British wanted.

I will be honest I donโt consider Somalis to be colonsied in my books, we werenโt exploited nor do we have any genocide to remember. We attended Facist rallies in style and had our own sultans and leaders and our clan system. We made treaties with Europeans and never had their laws and religion forced upon us.
compare when Italy finally got their revenge on Ethiopia and defeated them during 2nd war we even helped them, their money had king of Italy face on it when we didnโt, their laws got changed to Italian and and theit economy and education got Italianised, this didnโt even occur for us so how the hell are we considered colonsied.
