Unless they were raped they chose to have children with the guy that left them. They're responsible for their situation.

Even though they knew what was coming for them I don’t think they deserve it.

They made a mistake but that doesn’t mean they deserve to receive a harsh punishment.

If someone doesn’t take safety precautions in a shop and then they lose their arm, I don’t think they deserved it. It would have been better if they were luckier, but they’re not allowed to complain.

Same with single mothers. They’re not bad people who deserve a punishment, but they can’t complain when it bites them back.
