Do men or women have life easier (in the western world)

In eastern countries the answer is obvious but how about in the west?

I was watching a video about a woman that transitioned into a man and she eventually had a mental breakdown because of how poorly she was being treated as a man. And in the comments a lot of men were agreeing and saying life as a man is tough, you don’t have support emotionally, treated like you’re disposable, told to man up when you express your feelings and get little to no sympathy for your struggles.

So it makes me wonder..is life harder for men in the west compared to women in the post feminist era? Thoughts?

It’s the same. Everyone here has to work and pay the bills and at work if you slack, you’re equally getting fired. Women also have the additional obligations of work inside the home.

The art of stoicism is dead amongst many men these days and lack of accountability for men means that the losers are pushing the narrative that they’re more oppressed. They’re no different to white people who claim that they’re more oppressed than ethnic minorities. It’s a common trope of a lot of white men.

It levels out, that’s my honest opinion.

In terms of opportunity, men have it better but women have it easier socially.

Nowadays, we are seeing a push to give women better opportunities but also a push to recognise male struggles with mental health and life in general.

What I don’t like is when we push one and not the other. Which is exactly where most “red-pill” individuals fall under.

In my opinion, women have life easier for them in the Eastern world except in some unfortunate circumstances which are publicized.

A rather broad subject, and you were not very specific in the question, but I'll narrow the scope for brevity.

It is a man's* world, more so in the work and academia environments, which I could speak to, and the higher the ladder, the greater the disparity, more so pronounced in STEM. Like men of ethnic minority groups, women are not quite motivated, or at least I observe, in challenging, research heavy, and networking based positions. This is evident at professional conferences, where while their numbers are still rather negligible, their chosen fields of research are disappointingly lacking. The greater the challenge, the higher the reward, but it is as if they do not want to be bothered. Or so it appears.

Contrarily, at the bottom layer, in the Service industry, where work conditions are harsher, more stressful, and pay much less, it is women's turf.

This translates as to who has it easier along with stress levels, personal & professional growth, sacrifice, contentment, and advancement. Granted, women in liberal democracies, enjoy manufactured liberties, which when pulled back, as in time they will be, with resource scarcity or reallocation, might do more harm than good.

In a nutshell, on the economic front, it is a man's world.

On the social front, I'll let others speaks to that.

Observation:
One notable trend in the U.S. Corporate world, is more women are now in project managerial posts in multi-billion dollar projects, and are making men rather uncomfortable in their adopted aggressive disposition, and pushy tendencies, where there would be 10 - 20 highly educated, qualifed men at a meeting with a female project manager, and almost no one contributes with men remaining hesitant, if silent, lest accused of being chauvinistic, or condescending. Not very productive, is it?

* Postscript:
By men, I mean Uber men, and not that 'modern' metro men, who shy away from hard graft, refuse to be responsible or accountable, spend more time in the loo, and in front of the mirror than the ladies, complain about life while seated on their arses doddling all day, and will not apply themselves - living at home with the dear mothers in the 30s - Dear O dear, these are not men. Enough of that.
