I know Somali and can speak it well, though not the best. The problem is that I know some words but I don't know EXACTLY what they mean, I've just heard it used in so many different ways that I comprehend it 90% way from the context. For example I know how to use the word "ayaan" in somali but I don't know the definition. I know it's something good and cheery with luck involved and stuff like that but I can't pinpoint it. Obviously I know stuff like objects and animals those words are straightforward but the adjectives, ideas, and things that you have to describe are where the grey areas lie. Another word would be "Indho adeeg", I know exactly how to use that word but can't describe it.

I mean but of course. Would you be able to describe what words like the, and, be, etc are? It’s only verbs and adjectives you should know the definition of. The rest are implanted in you to know in your genes.

I understand and speak it better subconsciously in the back of my head than publicly.
I often dream in Somali . . .

Indho adeeg is more than a stubborn person. They are hard headed but they usually just feel entitled and stuff and are completely oblivious to it. And as for Ayaan then why do people say "Ayaan daro" or someone has more ayaan than another.
