Addis and a huge chunk of the highlands are dependent on The Djibouti rail way.
The train goes directly from Djibouti city to Dire Dawa (Federal city) and then to Addis (Federal city).
Reer galbeed don' t depend on djibouti port at all except for the fuel. They import their goods either from Berbera or from Kenya through Mooyaale. Jigjiga and Hargeisa are just 2hrs away from each other so it makes sense. They are the only two major somali cities with such proximity.

It's actually the Ethiopian gov't that are representing these people. And when they fail in fulfilling their duties and even go to the length of participating in the war and displacement of Somalis, what are the Somali regional gov't supposed to do?
