And where will Galbeed get their stuff from?
Djbouti n Reer Galbeed show would together to lay a track directly to a large city or town for distribution across all of Galbeed. Let the Amxaars and Oromo and Afars starve.

Can you expand on this please.

Doesn't the road corridor from Djbouti to Adis Ababa not go through Galbeed???

Of course the gaalraac idoor is against Somalis defending themselves from the imperialist Ethiopian regime and Afar state.

Why would we be against it when it pushes Ethiopia to diversify their imports/exports to Kenya & Somalia :pachah1:

Shouldn't fingers be pointed to the so called Somali government in Ethiopia who represent these people and meant to protect them :damnmusic:

As for Djbouti if it does impact trade then it will lead to chaos as government revenue will reduce. This will fuel a potential civil war

Addis and a huge chunk of the highlands are dependent on The Djibouti rail way.
The train goes directly from Djibouti city to Dire Dawa (Federal city) and then to Addis (Federal city).
Reer galbeed don' t depend on djibouti port at all except for the fuel. They import their goods either from Berbera or from Kenya through Mooyaale. Jigjiga and Hargeisa are just 2hrs away from each other so it makes sense. They are the only two major somali cities with such proximity.

Has the Ethiopian Government responded?

This is bad news for Djbouti and also conflict in Ethiopia will further escalate :ohno:

F*ck Ethiopia. Who cares about trade, when the circumstances are forcing the locals to resort to these measures to begin with. They're not doing this for leisure purposes. Ethiopia ha burburto x100. As for Djibouti, the kleptocrat in power is starving his people, so it's not like he would care anyway:westbrookwtf:

It's actually the Ethiopian gov't that are representing these people. And when they fail in fulfilling their duties and even go to the length of participating in the war and displacement of Somalis, what are the Somali regional gov't supposed to do?:ummhmm:

There's already a civil war going on as we speak, which is causing these action in the first place:what:

Good news for Eritrea. Now that the TPLF have been swiftly dealt with, discussions about the use of Asseb as a port can begin

I wish it was that simple. The Chinese built that rail, unless Djibouti has the expertise (they don’t) you can’t just call the Chinese to build one without Ethiopian approval.

The Ethiopian government have been sponsoring these ethnic cleansing since the beginning of time.

I'm saying why isn't there mass mobilisation of Somalis and local Somali government to defend its borders or people?

Afar are united over this but are the Somalis in Ethiopia? That's the question.
