To they see themselves as Somalis or part of Somali culture? The one Iโ€™ve met who is Yemeni Shia and saw himself as dijboutian Somali . Iโ€™ve tried to explain to him but he thinks Somali is cultural Just like Arab ๐Ÿ˜‚kinda gave up since I donโ€™t want to xaasid to him

In Somalia it kinda is. The minorities are considered Somalis.

Thereโ€™s Somali ethnic (father is Somali) and Somali cultural (speak Somali) and theyโ€™re different.

Doesn't really matter since Yemeni culture is near identical to ours so they are well integrated it's just the afars that are a nuisance but they are getting integrated.
