Dissecting Farmaajo's speech on the 12th of April

All in all it was good speech, I have only listened to it one time, and I haven't seen any reports dissecting it yet, I think it was very damning to Kenya, and sobering to Somalia and diplomatic towards the IC.

1. the end to the extrajudicial Wajir landing targeting any flight from Somalia carrying Somali citizens
2. the illegal border fence between Somalia and Kenya has been halted
3. the EEZ claimed by Kenya has been legally thwarted at the highest level
4. Somalia has regained its airspace control from Kenya and improved it making it more advance than Kenyan airspace control
5. AMISOM transition to ATMIS their command going to SNA and their now have no indefinite leave to remain
6. Biometrics introduced into our armed forces

mention of the founder of General Daud aun its always wholesome when someone from clan X recognizes and gives credit to someone from clan Y for their contribution and achievements. No mention of MSB aun even though Farmaajo did touch on the air force and the general prowess of our military during his reign he credited it to Somalis but not the man leading the Somalis during that time. I can understand Farmaajo distancing himself from the Kacaan and the key figures due to politics, as opposed to him constantly mentioning SYL, I say its politics, but we all know when it comes to Kacaan no administration can even stand in their shadow even with all the horrid crimes they committed they still have a mountain of achievements not exclusive to but especially in the military history of Somalia. He ignored Hassan Sh, Abdullahi Yusuf and Sh Sharif contribution, but they were meaningless to be completely honest, and some of them are his political competitors right now, so I get that. I'm going to be putting my fragile ego being hurt when he ignored MSB aun to the side, so I don't even bring up these losers Hassan sh and Sh Sharif to me please before I puke my Suxur out.

Umm what else, I liked his anti-qabiil statement, it wasn't the standard BS "Qabiil bad, Nation good" no he actually respected the qabiliste and spoke to them earnestly, reminding them in the modern era we are competing not only with nation states but conglomerates of nation states and big business and that while it made sense for ancestors to pledge loyalty to clan we must pledge loyalty to the nation.

I think Farmaajo is at his weakest point in his career right now which is understandable we are in the midst of an election he has a paranoid unstable PM, but he exuded confidence, thats what people want and need, a confident leader, his remarks about mutineers and the neutrality stance in the Qatar-Saudi, he reaffirms alot of his stance, which means he is confident, but he always come back to the fact, a leader can only be as good as his citizens, he doesn't shy away compromising and working with his opponents be they opposition or the self destructive somali psyche.

I give it a 7/10, I want to see his victory speech when he is re-elected. As usual Farmaajo scores high when it comes to substance, he is centuries ahead of Madoobe, Deni. Hassan Sh etc etc when it comes to substance, which means you always want to listen to more of him as opposed to these guys ramblings, his execution leaves much to be desired in this speech, it is no longer endearing and redeeming to be honest, now I want more statement like delivery, he needs to reach MSB, Sayid Abdille Hassan level really embroiling the public with words, even though the military is a-political, a politician should always seize the opportunity and Farmaajo did not commit to the delivery, sounded like he was reading a book.

Thats my take anyway.

His strongest point was about mutineers and Kenya offering him money for re election in exchange for badda. He also made it clear that he is ready to defend our nation from foreign interests who divide and conquer through qabiil.

I agree he couldve have better delivery but Farmajo never was an orator

Good analysis, however I don't agree he is at his weakest. Everything was thrown at him from IC to kenya/UAE trying their utmost to dissect the SNA along clan lines and it did not work. Today the army is more powerful than 1 or even 2 years ago. He has sifted through those who are not loyal. As for finances again no one can steal even baahaane cannot steal 1 dollar from the governments coffers.

Anyway the speech was good, and i liked how he karbashed the qaran dhumis.

Yeah you right, which brings home his other point, we are not a normal country lmao.
A standard in the developed and developing world is exceptional in Somalia how pathetic. Farmaajo is that bridge we need, no wonder the political brass and the oligarchs hate his guts, he is only succeeding because he has innovative ways of bringing in the income. Why take bribe when you can make more millions on the oil deals in the EEC through Somalia instead of through Kenya bribes.

As @DHOONYACAB why hasnt Mr Cheese asked Kiinya to leave if he really wants Kiinya gone al though he should start with evicting ENDF from Gedo/KG

It is very simple, Farmaajo is waiting until he has enough strength so he can back up kicking Kenya out. We all know the moment Farmaajo says "Kenya out". Uhuru will say no. however if he has 15,000 soldiers in jubbaland then he will simply say you have 72 hours to leave otherwise you are considered an enemy combatant.

so there is a difference between asking and commanding. he is waiting until he can command it.

Kenya should be kicked out from ATMIS and be replaced by SNA

he can't. the international community that pays AMISOM will side with Kenya. And then it will be a massive political failure for Farmaajo. Again he needs to do it from a position of strength and he can only do that when he is military ready to fight Kenya in Kismaayo. he will be ready when the elections are over and he can bring the Eritrean trained troops to Jubbaland.

Then the international community will say to kenya leave so that a war does not occur.

1 he has no power to tell anyone anything.
2 it is not about kenya or patriotism, but clan rivalry-he would love for kenya to support his clan-the thing no 1 gains anything by supporting them
3 all kenya would have to do is tell what little marexan bussineses there in kenya to shut and leave, that would break an already poor and broken clan.
4 kenya would just dump marexaan refugees in dhadhaab into baledxaawo cousing a strain on already strained clan.

Basically they have a weak hand and live on bluff,no one is buying.
