I guarantee you that the south on average has a neutral opinion of Somalis, some love us for resisting Ethiopia constantly (an opinion of the lefts there) some do not know of our existence much (an opinion of the old), some hate us for being Muslim (an opinion of the rights there), and some just view us as yet another fellow Ethiopian (the opinion of most there). As we all (hopefully) know, Addis is the beating heart of the Ethiopian economy- a trader from the south could easily pass on the illness to Addis and from there it could spread to all the regions.

Additionally a trader could pass this on to Kenya, here is a map of livestock trading in the south- very concerning.
